Does Sprite Have Caffeine? Explained With FAQs

Does Sprite Have Caffeine

Made by the famous Coca-Cola brand, Sprite is a colourless, lime and lemon-flavoured soft drink first developed in West Germany around 1959. It was initially known as Fanta Klare Zitrone. There are several flavours that Sprite comes in, including cherry, grape, cranberry, tropical ginger, orange and vanilla, and others.

Does sprite have caffeine or not?

Sprite, like most of the other non-cola sodas, is actually caffeine-free.

It’s important to mention that even though Sprite lacks caffeine, it is loaded with sugar which has some caffeine-like characteristics like giving you temporary high energy levels, which is somewhat similar to caffeine.

Sprite Ingredients

Sprite’s ingredients mainly consist of water, natural lemon, lime, high-fructose corn syrup, sodium citrate, citric acid, and sodium benzoate (mainly used as a preservative).

A 375ml or 12 ounces of Sprite contains around 140 calories and 38grams of carbs, all from added sugar. When people drink Sprite, they end up getting a sudden increase in blood sugar levels, feeling a lot of energy followed by a crash. That is why you may get jitters or anxiety later. Sudden anxiety, nervousness, and jitter can also occur if you take caffeine.
